@tiedtogetherwithasmile:  I have! It can be a little awkward at first but not so bad after awhile. One thing I cannot recommend strongly enough is to make sure you have a good internet connection – nothing worse than having words get all choppy during the interview! If you have any specific questions, ask away!

I have, and we use skype for interviews at work all the time. I’m not a fan myself, I prefer in person interviews!

Yep! It’s actually quite handy! I’m a photographer, and I skype/facetime with prospective clients all the time. The key is to have a good internet connection. You also need to be in good lighting, otherwise it can look dark and grainy. Also, have a quiet place (no kids or pets around to make noise – unplug your phone, and pull cells on silent) and make sure your background is tidy. 

It definitely takes time to get used to it. I have to always remind myself to look into the camera, not at the person, when talking. To them, when I look at the camera it looks likes I’m speaking to them. If I speak while watching the screen, it looks like you’re talking into space…lol.
