Aww honey, that’s got to be so hard! I hope he doesn’t lose his job and I’ll pray that things work out for you. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to know you might have a baby soon and then worry about money.

@panterapeach: I’m so sorry.  Being stuck in limbo about his job sucks.  We dealt with that last year with both of our jobs.  If he gets laid off, can he collect unemployment or work retail until he finds a new job?  That can really help keep things afloat financially in the interim.  But I totally understand that this is totally stressful, and being especially emotional with ttc-timing doesn’t help.  Hoping everything works out for you! Hugs.

Wow, I’m so sorry!  I hope Darling Husband keeps his job.

With this economy I’m surprised anyone’s able to have a baby!

32 is still young (that’s how old I am)!  When I had a TTC check up with my doctor she told me I was plenty young and not to worry.  Just stay in good health, don’t smoke, drink too much, etc. and your ovaries should still be in good shape for baby making a year from now.

I am so sorry to hear that. I know that you don’t want to hear this right now but things really do tend to work themselves out. Even if you and your husband did get pregnant… or wait till he finds another job. They do and it will make you better parents bc of it.

I looooooove my parents stories that they have when they started their family. My dad was working 3 jobs (one of which was washing windows and picking up trash in an office building) and my mom stayed home with no car. Out of boredom she sewed him this ridiculous sports coat that he wore to church just to make her happy. Those stories I think are so sweet. Not to mention the office building that he was washing windows with was the way he started his career. The boss always stayed late and my dad got to know him and now he has had a successful career ever since.

I really hope things turn around for you and I am sorry for the news.

As someone who got pregnant with her husband out of work, I know it’s super scary and, maybe, we should have waited, but we didn’t. I had to know whether we could have a baby. As far as our situation, he’s the money maker, I just make the extras, so money is tight. He’s 36 and I’m 31, will be 32 right after Wombat comes. Honestly, I’m channeling Tim Gunn and making it work.

The economy sucks. There’s nothing we can do to change that, but don’t make any decisions right now. Take a little while to think about it, talk about it.

I’m so sorry. Now, go enjoy a nice stiff drink.

Oh no!  I know how excited you were to TTC.  I wish you luck and I hope that your husband doesn’t end up losing his job.  That said, I’m a true believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason and that in the end everything will work out the way it is supposed to happen.

I agree w/ everyone else.  If AF doesn’t show up, which right now may or may not be welcome, have yourself a cocktail! You deserve it.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I’m so sorry ๐Ÿ™ We’re waiting to TTC because of finances as well and it sucks!
