Thanks for all the replies ladies! Definitely sounds like someone was trying to make a sale and it is not a necessity.

I wear a Dear Daughter and now that I’ve gone up a bit I definitely feel like I need something there (never slept with a bra before pregnancy). Some nights I still go without, but when I’m feeling sensitive and sore I throw on a sports bra. I have a couple of comfortable ones that really do the trick. I will not be buying a special sleep bra.. total waste of money if you ask me! I’ve already had to chuck out so much cash to go up a size in regular bras, and then nursing bras will be the next step! Trying to save where I can 🙂
@hotpinkbride: I heard the same thing, that it can help prevent stretch marks. I don’t know if she was right and they’re actually related, but my boobs went from a 32D to a 36F, and I do not have any stretch marks! I’m 36 weeks pregnant.
I mostly got them so I can wear them when I’m nursing!
I don’t intend on sleeping in a bra unless things start to hurt and it helps. So far my boobs are a D and haven’t actually grown THAT much. We’ll see what happens though lol
