We moved our son’s bassinet to his own room after only a week! We had planned before he was born to keep him in our room for a few months, but neither my husband or I were sleeping well due to all of our son’s “grunts”. I had no idea babies sleeping could be so loud! So after about a week we moved him down the hall to his nursery. We both slept much better! We kept the video monitor right by the bed on low volume, so if he cried we would hear, but all the grunts/other noises weren’t audible. I felt bad at first moving him, but honestly it was the best decision because we needed sleep! Good luck with whatever you do. 🙂

Look up the Magic Merlin Sleep Suit. We used it for a few weeks to transition my son from the swaddle to not when he started to roll. It is so puffy that it prevents them from making sudden arm movements and waking themselves. He did pretty well with it, but I’m guessing it can be hit or miss depending on your baby (as with any baby product).

Another sleep suit user here!! I swaddled but once my Dirty Delete started breaking out she moved into the sleep suit. She wore it for a month or so then transitioned to a regular sleep sack and now she’s a big girl with a real blanket.
