I take mine off because I like to workout first thing in the morning and my fingers are always swollen as crap when I wake up! If it wasn’t for that I’d probably sleep in them though. I don’t think it’d really cause any harm.

I never take my ring off, except to clean it. I’ve never had a problem with my ring snagging on anything, and I have a pave band.

I sleep with mine! I only take mine off if water is involved or if I’m getting my hands dirty cooking.

I googled the day after my proposal about showering, and the articles said that while your ring won’t fall down the drain, it is possible for the stone to loosen and that fall down the drain. We also went on a family beach trip, and I stored my ring in its box whenever we were in the water as I had read that sharks were attracted to shiny things. Unfortunately, my sister (who NEVER takes her ring off after almost 20 years of marriage because she lost her previous ring while cleaning maybe 5 years in) heeded this advice and left it in my beach bag. I’ve had it for the past 2 months! Oops.

I never took off my original ER. However, once DH upgraded my ring and I wore it 24/7, it became out-of-round within about a year. I think that was primarily due to sleeping with that hand under my pillow. It doesn’t happen fast, but it can happen, especially if you have a substantial stone sitting above the ring in a cathedral-type setting. I am now just in the habit of taking my rings off when I come home and putting them on with the rest of my jewelry when I leave the house.

I do every night, too nervous it’s missing or something if I try with out! Platinum and diamonds are stronger than cotton so I’m not really concerned about damage.

makeupluvr :  I’ve done it ever since I got it 2.5 years ago.  Never had a problem, even in the hot summers.  Not sure how it will handle if I get pregnant again.  My friend had to take hers off at 8 months

I sleep with mine on and I’ve never had a problem. It took me a little while to get used to at first but I’m terrified of losing it so I pretty much never take it off.

I can’t stand sleeping in any jewelry. I keep a cute little ring dish on my nightstand and the sparklies sleep there.

Ok so I’m a little weird. I switch into my plain wedding band when i get home and sleep in that. Sometimes i don’t switch it  until right before bed… kind of like a “sleeping ring” lol.

I only take mine off when messing with meats and when I shower. Other then that and cleaning my rings I never take them off. Yours will be fine

I sleep 😴 in mine but in the summer my fingers do swell I have a glass bowl i use on my nightstand. I have never had any issues with any of my rings snagging ever .
