makeupluvr :  I do, and my ring is sitting high and has a delicate halo around the center stone. If it’s properly crafted and you don’t mind cleaning it a bit more often, then I dont think there is anything to worry about.

I was deathly afraid of losing my ring too. I lose almost all my everyday jewelry eventually! my friends all keep theirs on 24/7. But I couldn’t shower in it, snags in my hair. I don’t wear it if I’m planting things in the dirt or touching raw meat. And I didn’t love sleeping in it (at first, now I do about half the time). My compromise was this: if I ever took it off, I HAD to put it in its box in my bathroom. No setting it down just for a few minutes. No exceptions ever. That has worked well for me because I always know where it is when it’s not on my finger. Even times when I look down, notice it’s not on and panic a little because I couldn’t remember where it was. It was always right in the box when I checked.

I’m kind of a fatalist so my reason for wearing mine to bed every night is that if something happened while we were asleep (fire, robery, a tree crashing through the window, aliens idk) I can run out and already have my ring on. I’d save the few precious minutes we might have grabbing our pet and not jewelery. Probably a crazy thought but you never know!

I take mine off every night, I’ve never been one to sleep in any jewelry.

I usually take it off just because I’m more confortable with jewelry off. However, I do it quite often and it has no ill effects on my ring or finger.

Over the past couple months I’ve been keeping my ring on while I sleep. I tend to spin it so the stone is at my palm and then it doesn’t snag and I don’t hit it on the wall.

Yes I do sleep in mine. I think it depends on the prongs though. I use to sleep in a ring that had tons of tiny prongs and they would get snagged very easily and I lost multiple tiny diamonds. But my engagement ring has larger, sturdy Prongs so I don’t have a problem. I do take it off when I shower or go to work though.

It can cause your prongs to snag on sheets and lose stones, so just make sure you are always getting your prongs checked.

makeupluvr :  me too.  It is not comfy for me.  But I also don’t want to lose my diamond.   🙂

I take mine off to sleep. I have a little ring holder on my nightstand and I put it there. I only take mine off because it’s a bit loose and I keep the bedroom really cold, which makes it even more loose. So I’m afraid it will slip off or something. Once I get it resized I’m not sure what I’ll do. I’ve always slept with my rings on but now I am so use to taking it off, so I don;t know if I will or not.

Your ring should be fine. I know tons of people who sleep with their rings and wear them 24/7 and have for years with no issues!
