Actually, I am in a state of mind and can’t seem to get any other thought out of my mind but the dress that Meg Ryan wore in Sleepless in Seattle. It was the vintage 1940’s dress she put on that was her mother’s, it ended up ripping and she thought it was a sign.
Well… I am in love with the dress. No ruffles. No lace. No pearls. No sequins. No ribbons. Just plain old Satin. Its beautiful and simple and breath taking. Everything I want ina dress. The high neck. The 3/4 quarter inch sleeves. The french grosain ribbon (only one) around the waste. Empired silhouette. A-line skirting. AND the Veil… dont get me started on that gorgeous piece of fabric! I loved how the veil drapped down her shoulders and accented the dress perfectly. Ahh…. love the dress!
I found a knock off of the dress…. http://www.jcrew.com/wedding/Wedding_Bride/gowns/PRDOVR~30217/30217.jsp' defer='defer
But I can’t afford the price tag. Or at least not on my budget as I am paying for a wedding, all by myself. I dont want my hunny or family helping. Yes, this is my choice to do, not because people havent offered. I have tried on other dresses and been satisfied, but I want the wow factor, and this one is for me.
Does anybody know where I can find such inspired wedding dresses as the one I am looking for with a little friendlier price attached to it? I have to have this dress! The hunny loves it as well!
