If you like vintage, romantic details, and lace, definitely check out Claire Pettibone. Her Romantique line is more affordable, but the Couture gowns might surprise you a little with their cost, as well (CP lists the price range of gowns on her website, and also offers samples for sale at a STEEP discount). My dress is not one of these, but I am adding sleeves to it (today!), and will be happy to share AFTER the wedding. 😉

one thing to know about CP is that she LOVES customizing. So if a neckline feels too low, or you want more coverage, she’s brilliant about tweaking the dress design.

I loooove long sleeve dresses – so romantic! Here’s mine (it’s Galina Signature):

Beautiful dresses ladies! Mine is an Allure. You can actually take off the sleeves/backward bolero overlay if you wanted, but I’m not as comfortable in strapless. I loved the look of the lace, it felt very vintage to me.

lr0901 :  your dress is gorgeous! Love your husbands face! Haha. In the pic on the dock, it’s hard to tell, did you have a train or is it bustled?

I LOVE wedding dresses with sleeves, personally I think they are just so classical and elegant. I tried on a few sleeveless dresses but none of them were as comforable and not nearly as flattering for my body type.

southernbellebee :  Normally I admire people’s photos quietly, but I had to comment on yours. The dress aside, that’s a phenomenal photo of you. You look absolutely radiant. I hope you have it framed in 8 x 10 and that you spent your day feeling as happy as you looked.

I’m looking at sleeves myself. I’d love the Cosmobella 7746, which reminds me of Grace Kelly’s dress, but it’s out of my price range so onward and upward.
