Here is my current dress. David’s Bridal YP3344 in White. I love my dress so much, I knew it was the one the moment I tried it on! But just yesterday I happened to see a picture of the same dress…with LACE SLEEVES. And I FELL IN LOVE! I’ve always loved dresses with sleeves, but never considered it for my dress because it’s strapless and I love it that way. But I’m really thinking I love it more with sleeves. It has such a romantic look to it! Not to mention, I wouldn’t have to worry about my dress staying up while I’m dancing the night away at the reception.
I attached pictures of the one I found with sleeves. If I were to do sleeves, they would be very similar to the ones in the pictures. What do y’all think??

Sleeves! But I’m admittedly biased bc all I seemed to see were a ton of strapless dresses in stores that started to blur together. I like different 🙂 Spaghetti straps, thick straps, cap sleeves, long sleeves etc., just not another strapless dress! lol

oooh…I didn’t think I’d vote for sleeves…but those do add a very nice touch to a gorgeous dress. I like them! Easy to add?

I think your dress is pretty but those sleeves really do add alot! If it’s in your budget, I would totally add them!

oooh I love the sleeves! Would they be detachable so you could take them off later on if you wanted? Two looks in one!

I agree! Everyone has a strapless dress, and while I did fall in love with mine strapless, I really do love how different it makes it from others. (Even though I’m technically copying someone else) 😉
I think so too! I haven’t spoken to my seamstress about them yet, but she’s so good, I doubt there’s anything she can’t do!
I really think I’m going to! I wouldn’t think it would be too costly, but you really never know…

I don’t think I’d do them detachable. Only because for the look I’m going for, I’m not sure they could be detachable. But who knows? Not to mention, I think I’d prefer to keep them for the reception so I won’t have to worry about keeping my dress pulled up while I’m dancing!

sleeves like the ones in that picture are usually put in with a few little eye hooks on eithe side (like a bra hook) and they are almost always detachable. I am sure that you can get them sewn in permantly but the “normal” way is usually with the hooks so they come off and on

Thanks for the info! That’s good to know! It wouldn’t hurt to have them detachable just in case I decided I didn’t want to wear them all night.
