(Closed) Slight vent about reception tables….

Yeah… I’d probably go ahead and rent them. Not being guaranteed and the fact that they are “crappy” tables sucks.

Sorry it didn’t work out. I know how frustrating that is.

Free is great, but if you can’t get them for sure, then I’d do something else.

However, if you are planning on throwing tableclothes over them, what does it matter what the tables look like. I’d look into actually renting them from the FD first. Rental tables aren’t going to be anything special. Might be cheaper to get them from the FD, if you can get a contract that guarantees you get them for your event.

i will definitely rent them… i will be so worried to not have tables confirm until the last minute

How often are they needed though?  If it’s a once a year type thing, then I wouldn’t worry.  If it’s more often, while I don’t know much about this, maybe you could talk to a rental place and just put a refundable deposit down until you know either way.

Good thing you found out now and not in August or something awful like that! Doesn’t it feel good to vent? 🙂 I’m sure everything will work out great!
