I have always figured I would have a ivory dress… I tried on this Stella York gown and I really like it. She calls the color mascato! I like how the lace pops from the underneath color. I’m concerned that it won’t be bridal enough…. also that it may look different standing next to my groom. I have no clue what color of Tux’s we want!

Please post pictures of a slightly colored dresses! I would love to see some pics next to grooms as well!

That looks absolutely gorgeous on you!! And it looks very romantic and bridal! Love the color underneath to really show off the beautiful lace.

I LOVE it! Mine is slightly colored too. I don’t have one next to my groom yet, but I anticipate he’ll be wearing a lovely blue (but not dark navy–I’m thinking similar to mystic blue from GenTux) suit.

I also tried on this other slightly colored dress (it was my second favorite!)

I’m still waiting for my dress to arrive in my size but it’s also a Stella York in moscato, I love love love the colour! I say go for it, it most definitely looks bridal!

Also here’s a stock photo of my dress in moscato next to a blue suit, looks good to me! I think it’s a neutral enough colour that will go with many other colours.

My dress is a Stella York as well! Though I did have it custom made through some pretty major alterations. The color of the satin underneath is “cafe” with an ivory lace overlay. It does have a nice warmth to it that I prefer with my skin tone, but because of the ivory lace it still looks very Bridal and almost white in some lighting!

My dress was an Allure, I think they call their blush shade champagne. I loved the look of navy against it. Here are some pictures from our wedding.

Beautiful dress. And definitely bridal enough – especially as the bodice is mostly white and you can really only see the pink in the skirt.
I think either navy or grey, or a blueish grey (slate blue) would look best next to the moscato. Black would look a bit too harsh next to the softer pink & ivory – and for that matter I think black looks too harsh against most wedding dresses, especially when worn in daylight, but that’s another story.

I really like The dress and the lace will show up better with the different color. But I get what your saying my dress is ivroy lace with a champagne liner I keep thinking it looks gold even though I know it doesn’t. You could always see about changing the lining.

My dress is a Maggie Sottero, colour is gold with ivory overlay though it’s more champagne than gold. I saw it in ivory/ivory also and the lace really pops so much more with the coloured underlay. Looks better on me than ivory too as I have very pink toned skin! My fiance will be wearing a navy suit.

I think off-white dresses have become so common that there is no risk of you not looking bridal enough. I personally preferred them for the reasons you said – the details pop SO much more than white on white and I personally find the color more flattering on my skin tone.
This is not me, but this is my dress:

I wore Essense of Australia D1702 in Moscato – my husband wore navy blue. I think the mix looked great!
