My FSMIL offered to buy my wedding shoes for me and I accepted her offer. Little did I know that this would cause such an issue.
She was only in town for two days, so we went shopping together Monday and I picked out a beautiful pair of slingback glitter Jimmy Choos. Now, I didn’t think I would be wearing a slingback, but after trying on sparkly or mettalic shoes that were too high, the Jimmy Choo Nova seemed perfect because of the heel height, comfort factor, and of course, style. However, upon coming home, I realized that the slingback might make dancing difficult, and my Fiance and I are planning on doing a choreagraphed dance. I wasn’t concerned about just general boogying.
So, I returned to the store, and tried on another pair that were higher, but the strappy sandal kept my foot in. In the end I chickened out and left with my original pair. Now, I am starting to worry about another issue- walking down the aisle! My ceremony is outdoors and I will be walking on grass. I planned to just buy some SoleMates to remedy this, but now I’m wondering if I should wear some wedges down the aisle. I am also still concerned about the dancing.
I would normally just return the shoe until I figured something out, but I am concerned about hurting my stepmother’s feelings, so I want to have a clear plan if I do return the shoe.
Does anyone have experience with a slingback bridal shoe? Any dancing drawbacks? SoleMate reviews? Any thoughts are appreciated!
