I like the hoop skirt better for that dress, but it only matters what you prefer! Are they equally comfortable?

alexam :  both are lovely but I prefer the hoop.

I had a dress with the same shape as yours and I found from the practical side that the hoop helped keep the fabric away from under my feet better. I’m naturally and ridiculously clumsy and liked the hoop because it gave me a little more chance of not tripping on my dress and going A over T on my wedding day.

I prefer the slip over the hoop. In my opinion, it gives the dress a more natural flow and movement. I think a hoop makes the dress look like a bell.

I prefer the slip; it has a more natural drape.

I think the slip fits the lines of your body and the lines of the dress better. The hoop looks kind of out of place.

Slip 100%. More graceful and elegant looking and the drape of the skirt looks better.

You look lovely.

Another vote for the slip instead of the hoop. The hoop looks a little off with the shape of your dress, but I LOVE how the slip gives it just enough poof, without overpowering the dress like the hoop does.

For some reason I am seeing the opposite of everyone else here! I think the hoop makes your frame look very petite, and I love the way it flows out. I personally prefer the look of it being a bit narrower near your hips and then flowing out, but I seem to be the odd ball on this one! You look gorgeous both ways!! Such a beautiful dress.

While I normally prefer hoop when posed with this question, I prefer the slip on you.  The hoop is a bit too dramatic – you’re already quite slender and the exaggerated width at the bottom of the dress with the hoop causes it to be out of proportion and overwhelm the top half.

I’m leaning towards the slip, but what’s the venue? I would think the hoop would be more dramatic for a ballroom evening wedding, but the slip for a daytime garden wedding, for example.

I think the hoop looks great on you – it’s very slimming.
