I’ve seen both. I guess I think of Sloan as the male version and Sloane as the female version.

Sloane looks right to me, but I don’t really know. I know a girl with that name and I can’t remember how she spells it, but probably with the “e” since I was drawn to that one.

I like Sloane, it just seems more complete to my eye.

Sloane or Sloan isn’t a name to me. It’s a jokey nickname for posh pearl wearing floppy haired girl and red chino wearing chap driving daddy’s Chelsea tractor around west London.

I know a girl named Sloane and she spells it with the silent e at the end.

Sloane is how the square in London is spelt. Never met anyone with it as a name though as it is a bit of a derogatory slur here. It basically means someone who is super posh, out of touch with the world and a bit thick. Sometimes see Sloane Ranger as a term.

Dont let that put you off though if you like it.

AwkwardCoconut :  Sloane looks like it would be a girl’s name. Sloan looks like it would be a last name.

Anytime I hear that name I can only think of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. In that movie she spells it Sloane.

Sloane is the feminine spelling; Sloan the masculine.
