I just threw in a couple pounds of pork and beef broth to have some bbq sandwiches at lunch this week! Allrecipes.com has a pretty good selection of slow cooker recipes, so I’ve been frequenting there when I’m in the mood for a super easy meal.

I’m awful at using a slow cooker (I KNOW, total fail) but if I wasn’t, I would use it year round.  Think about all the delicious slow roasted carnitas tacos you could make?!  Yum.

I have a great mac and cheese recipe for the slow cooker, though it only takes 1 hour on high.

All the time. I am obsessed with beef in beer stew, and its best done in the slow pot.

Can we get some more awesome recipes going on this thread though?

@AB Bride:  What sort of quantities do you use for that? Sounds AMAZING.

    I use ours all.the.time.

BBQ, dips ( rotel for football!), soups, chicken, roast…. you name it–  I try it in the slow cooker first and then the oven/grill/stove-top second.

@AB Bride:  Yes, but only half way, so like 5 minutes, then in it goes with all the other ingredients! PM me if you want the recipe!

I just made an awesome beef barbecue using a cheap beef roast, barbecue sauce and root beer. I let it slow cook for 12 hours and folks I served it to at our get-together RAVED about it. Like I invented Oreo cookies or something. Crazy!
