Pot roast is my favorite recipe. It’s so easy.

Beef chuck, onions, carrots, garlic, one can of beef broth. Throw everything together and allow to cook on low for 6 hours. I love eating the broth with orzo pasta.

Minestrone soup:

Diced veggies – carrots, celery, green beans, zuchini, beans, vegetable broth and a smal can of chopped tomatoes. Allow to cook for atleast 4 hours. Towards the end, add a cup of ditalini pasta. Eat when pasta is cooked.

Ooh Penguin, I have yet to use my slow cooker and I have that exact cookbook.  After the holidays, when things have slowed down a bit, I can’t wait to try that pot roast!

I have a slow cooker tag in my cooking blog. Snowpea, that minestrone recipe sounds great.

I was going to add the same blog that futuremrslerman added.  I’ve been going through her blog and can’t wait to try out some of her recipes!

I’ve made a jambalaya a few times in my crockpot and I love it.  I make a few tweaks of my own usually…like instead of the andouille sausage I use linguica or different kinds of hot links.  I also use the cajun seasoning, not creole, and usually add a little extra of the hot sauce because I like it hot.

Oh and how I would love that All Clad slow cooker.  I didn’t find it until after my wedding & after I used the slow cooker I already have, but would have loved it since I love true one pot meals & using it to brown things would be great.  Plus it would match the rest of my pots and pans.

I just got a slow cooker for Christmas – as well as a book called "Fix-It and Forget-It – Big Cookbook" by Phyllis Pellman Good – it has 1400 slow cooker recipes…

My stepmom has had it for years, and swears by it!
