So many people told me this before the wedding and leading up to it I was determined to make it happen…..here I am a week later and it didn’t work out as planned. The day was real hectic and then when we got to the venue everything was just a whirlwind!! So many things going on, pictures, people….etc… Looking back I wish someone kept reminding me this throughout the night.
If you are still planning, please take this to heart and even ask your Maid/Matron of Honor or someone to remind you to take everything in….
If you are already married..looking back, how do you feel?

This is great info. I’m getting married in a month and I’m totally going to take your advice on telling my Maid/Matron of Honor to remind me to take it all in a few times…..take some mental and emotional pics:)

take in the little details and just enjoy the day!
It goes by way too fast.
(And don’t forget to eat and drink enough!)

This is me taking it in! I remembered this during the ceremony and wanted to look behind me to see everyone! The photographer totally busted me 🙂
This thought flew out the window after that though. The whole reception is a blur!

Oh I’ll try, I mad e adeal with Mr Toadstool: I allowed to freak out to the top of mi lungs every day leading up to the wedding but the wedding day I have to just focus on getting ready and be calm… let’s see how it works.
@scadadle15: Great picture.

I really like this advice. Every time I read it in my fathers voice, though. It is exactly the kind of thing he has always told me. 🙂 I hope he tells me something similiar on the day of my wedding.

@scadadle15: What a gorgeous picture 🙂

I tried to enjoy the day as best I could and it still flew by. Don’t be so hard on yourself 🙂

I really like Mrs. Wizard’s suggestion to write down all your impressions of the day as soon as possible. 🙂

I plan to have everything completed and prepared a week before the wedding so I can take the remaining days to focus on slowing down, relaxing and remembering to enjoy myself because this day is going to come and go!

The day totally flew by! But that’s what photos and videos are for. To help us remember! 😀

I’m not really sure how it’s possible to force yourself to enjoy the moment. That never made sense to me. I had a great time at my wedding, but it did fly by, and I don’t really think anything I could have done would have changed that.

@Natalieh86: Not force yourself to enjoy but to stop, take a moment to look around and absorb what is happening. Like pressing the pause button for a second!

@scadadle15: I couldn’t have said it better! You will enjoy it, but take a few moments here and there to just stop or slow down and really just digest everything going on.
Great pic, btw 🙂
