I had a follow up appointment with my dr today and had a few concerns. I’m measuring much earlier than originally thought ( 6 weeks, 1 day).
At my last ultrasound there were two gestational sacks. This time, one sack was still empty but the other had a heartbeat of 94/ min.
My dr. told me they did not anticipate the first sack would be a viable pregnancy. However, the second sack was there but the baby’s heartbeat was slow. They told me heartbeats usually start a bit slower and then speed up so it could just be early. But they did have some concerns and wanted to monitor it closely. Has anyone had a heartbeat in this range that speeds up and had a normal pregnancy? Thanks!

I was told that anywhere between 90-115 is actually pretty normal for 6 weeks…at least, I hope so! At 6+1, they detected a heartbeat of 97 on my little bean. I haven’t yet had a follow-up ultrasound, but I’m still pregnant today, at 9 weeks even! I will know more on Thursday and will tell you what happens. 🙂 Keeping fingers crossed for you!

At 6 weeks 5 day (measuring 6 weeks 1 day) we had a heartbeat of 113 bpm. A little higher than yours but my doctor wasn’t concerned. At our last appointment at 11 weeks the heartrate was a healthy and strong 160 bpm. I have to admit I was concerned with the low rate as well but like the doctor said it was healthy for that early of a scan. Fingers crossed all is well with you and baby!

At my first scan, 6w3d, the heartbeat was 119 bpm. So, a bit faster than yours but just because it was a couple days later. I go for my followup on the 31st, so I don’t have much to tell you other than my doctor thought the heartbeat was in the normal range for such an early scan. Fingers crossed that everything will be alright for you! When do they want to see you again for a follow-up?

Thanks that would be great to hear an update! Hoping all is well… I’ve been so anxious the past few days.
Thank you! This is what I’m hoping for. My doctor said it is pretty common for the rate to speed up so I hope the same thing happens for us.
My next appointment is March 26th. They were willing to see us in 7 days. But I asked if it would be okay to give it a bit more time and they said yes. I’m hoping if I can be patient a few extra days, it will give us a clearer picture.

My babies heartbeat was 97 bpm at my first scan at 6 weeks. 90 – 115 is the normal range for that time! At 8 weeks the heartbeat had jumped to 160! I’m 18 weeks now and all is well so far!
