so, being a small-boobed girl, I usually don’t look great in strapless dresses – they often make me look even more flat-chested than I am. so I was really surprised when the dress I fell in love with was a strapless one from Nicole Miller (pic at the end of the post). something about the boning in the chest area and the way the top of the dress is cut actually works.
so I’m in love with the dress, but now I’m looking for a bra that will give me some lift and actually make me look like I have a little bit of cleavage. I’m 5’8″ and about 130, and my boobs are on the small side of a 34B. everything I try on at Victoria’s Secret either seems to flatten them out, not give enough lift, or just gives me armpit fat instead of cleavage.
if any of you with similar builds and dresses have found your miracle bras, please send me your recommendations! thank you!

How about just having pads sewn in?

Strapless bra from Triump for Petite works great for me! You should try it.

I have a similar body style to you, and also didn’t think that I’d end up with a strapless dress! I’m getting cups sewn in because I wanted lift and didn’t want to have to worry about something staying in place. Every strapless bra I’ve ever worn has had to be pulled up, and I just didn’t want to have to worry about it.

I too am also on the smaller size of a 34B and discovered THE miracle bra! Don’t know how it would work with your wedding dress, but it does convert to strapless. It’s the “Abigail” by Aerie. Gives me great great cleavage! It’s the only bra I wear now.

Have you tried on Wacoal bras? I’m also on the smaller side of 34B and own mostly wacoal bras as they don’t give you that armpit fat and their strapless bra I own never slide down. Not sure if you have already done so but it helps when I slide my hand underneath the bra and gently smooth the boobs from the arm pit side towards the cleavage which gives me instant alluring cleavage. A wider and sturdier bra band also helps to smoothe out the fat or push the fat to where it should be.. aka your boobs. HTHs!

I am a huge fan of silicone adhesive bras. Not only do they give you padding, but they also can be clipped together to give you quite a bit of lift. I use them on a weekly basis and will be wearing them on my wedding day.
An example (although you can find similar products in a range of prices): http://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Silicone-Color-Backless-Strapless/dp/B000QURHUU/ref=sr_1_20?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1366644048&sr=1-20&keywords=silicone+bra
