I am currently trying to plan my ceremony and a small reception (approximately 30 people) prefferably in Brooklyn, however I am living in Canada on the opposite coast! I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a ceremony site with a reception site attached, or a ceremony site with a separate reception site idea. We would love to get married in a garden, but I haven’t had much success except for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden which seems to have a lot of nonsense rules.

Hi Washington –
Congrats! A few questions:
Do you want outside/inside space?
Are you looking for a venue with in-house catering?
Brooklyn spaces run the gamut from raw/open loft/industrial space, historic brownstones, funky restaurants, etc.
What style/vibe are you going for?

I am getting married at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture next fall – it is an old limestone on Prospect Park West with a large garden. It is about $600 and hour and you can bring your own caterer which helps a lot with cost. I will try and think of some other places but if you have any questions during your process I am happy to help. Brooklyn born and raised!
