I ran across this article today: http://health.yahoo.net/experts/dayinhealth/six-pack-abs-12-weeks
It outlines one guy’s 12 week journey to a better, healthier body. He made some small diet changes and revamped his workout routine to achieve amazing results.
I know so many of us have made New Year’s resolutions to get healthier in 2013, some of us want to look fantastic in a wedding dress, others want to look hot on the honeymoon. Others just want to be healthier, live longer, and feel better. I thought I would share this for anyone looking for a change in the new year 🙂

@DaneLady: Thanks for sharing! It truly is amazing what a difference just small additions to your fitness plan can make. Last week, I joined a challenge to do 2 miles (walking or running), 50 pushups (on knees if needed), and 50 situps/crunches every day, and I’m already seeing results! The pushups and situps only take about 10 minutes per day, in addition to the mileage. Not much time, but I can sure feel them the next morning!

@inspiredcreations: Good for you! Isn’t it awesome to be able to see results from a fairly simple change? Keep up the good work 🙂
I remember way back in high school when I started running track and cross country. A 5k seemed like SUCH A LONG DISTANCE! I did my first marathon last March, and if you had asked me even 3 years ago if I would ever be able to run 26.2 miles I would have laughed in your face. It was a long, hard road with lots of sweat, blisters, and mornings where I wasn’t feeling very motivated, but I did it and I’m so proud of that accomplishment. Everyone has to start somewhere!

@DaneLady: Definitely! It’s been a great addition to marathon training. My lower body gets a massive workout several times a week, but my upper body, while trim, was missing out. Not anymore 🙂
