So, I have tiny tiny boobies and will be needing a decent bra to go with my dress. I wasn’t really planning to wear a bra at all, but my mum’s convinced me to get one anyway, take it to my fitting and then even if I don’t wear one, I’ll have it for future anyway.
The rules are:
- It has to stay up properly
- It has to give great cleavage
- It has to be fairly low-line, as I don’t want any chance of it showing
- It has to be available in ivory/nude
- It has to still be sexy (cos let’s face it, Mr CL won’t be impressed with a montrosity that evening!)
- It has to be a bra, rather than a basque as I’s get ridiculously hot in something body covering
- It has to be available in the UK (as that’s where I live!) in a UK size 34A/B
Hope that makes sense!

We’re the same size. I’ve never found a strapless bra that I really liked. 34A won’t stay in place and always starts to slip down (and never gives any darn cleavage). If I try a 32B, the band is too tight and gives me back rolls.

@clumsylawyer: Have you had your size checked recently? I recommend the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless at any size really but it only works I’d you have the perfect size.

@strawbabies: This is the very reason I wasn’t planning to bother with a bra!
@SpecialSundae: I was actually planning to get sized yesterday, but the one lingerie shop in my town was closed because of the snow I definitely will though, as I’ve lost a bit of weight recently and I’m almost certain it’s all come off of my boobs which just isn’t fair!

@clumsylawyer: I know this is a bit late, but have you tried Selfridges? I got a Princess TamTam strapless bra there for my wedding, quite simple but also streamlined and lux (I’m a 32A, so also had a hard time finding anything that actually fit). I splurged on some Myla stuff for honeymoon.

I am exactly the same! Also uk- I have just ordered a nubra from a seller on eBay from America. Iv had one before and it is amazing. Cannot recommend it highly enough. They are sticky cups that have no straps, no back nothing binding. You stick them on one at a time then do them up in the middle. I have NO boobs (A/B) but it gives me cleavage! YESSSSSS! They are discreet, almost seamless and just amazing. I worry about leaning forward in a dress and showing nipple if I don’t have something on! But no chance with a nubra as they’re sticky all over so completely covered 🙂 they are a bit pricy- £30 with postage but honestly worth every penny.
search for featherlite nubra (seller is called bengc)
iv just ordered mine so will take a couple of weeks to come. I have my dress appointment 23rd march so I’m def wearing it then 🙂 so excited!

@pink_sherbert: I bought a wonderbra recently to try with another dress. It doesn’t give the world’s most impressive cleavage, but it’s really comfy and stays up all day and night! I think that’ll probably be the one
@Dawn1234: I tried a nubra once before (backless ball gown definitely required one) and I had certain…issues with the adhesive that resulted in an interesting rash. Never again! It’s a shame though because I was very impressed with the cleavage I got!

@clumsylawyer: Glad you found something that works 🙂

@clumsylawyer: Not sure if they ship to the UK, but do try the Little Bra Company! http://www.thelittlebracompany.com
I have the Sascha strapless bra and it’s great, the underwire and cups fit right compared to the same size at Victoria’s Secret.
