I had some serious ring envy when I first joined. But I love my ring, it’s perfect for me and our economic status. The other day I hung out with all my married/engaged friends and realized not one of us had a huge rock. Most of my lady friends chose simple bands, small antique rings, or blingy engagement bands. I love it.

I felt the same way at first. But I love my ring, my Fiance picked it out all by himself and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!! Here’s my baby! The ring came with the band and all together it’s like 0.7 carats or something so the e ring is probably around a half carat?

And I love this pic, he proposed with a puzzle I had to put together (I love puzzles and disney princesses so it was a combo of both!). My ring is sitting in the middle of the puzzle pieces ๐Ÿ™‚

I have no idea the weight of my diamond (Or even if it is a diamond.) I don’t know the metal, either. I really don’t care to. There is no way I would get a large diamond — I don’t like large stones, and I rather dislike diamonds.

My center stone is only a .60 and it has a total weight of 1.50 cts.  I LOVE my ring.  The picture is crap but he went with smaller diamonds to get better clarity and color. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello there,

I also picked out my ring and have a .33 center and a 4.75 size finger.  Also put it mind your ring size can make a difference. I do however feel intimidated about girls with 1+ carat. But there is always a chance for an upgrade in the future =) It doesn’t matter what size as long as you are content with your ring is all that matters I guess lol

Finally small rings! I love them, they are so elegant and ladylike and have more style! When reading all these 1.5K ++ posts I’m wondering what’s more important to these “rock girls”: the ring or the man who bought/picked it ( if he ever had the chance to do that!). I have nothing to show yet but hoping for a small ring soon!

@fortysomething:  I find that comment quite rude. I don’t have a huge rock and I appreciate the beauty in all types of rings.

I just don’t understand why some people have to put down other people’s choices to validate their own (and this applies to big vs small, moissy vs diamond, coloured stone vs clear, cat vs dog etc).

My center stone is .46 I think and there are diamonds on the side. Total, my ring is no more than .7 and I would not trade it for the world. I wanted a big diamond but my fiance hates how they look. I would not trade my diamond for anything and I love that he loves it!

I have had some serious ring envy since joining weddingbee.

My center stone is 0.7 with total weight over 1 carat.

My fiance felt it REALLY important to get me a high quality CANADIAN diamond.

I know I could have got a 1 carat + ring for the money he spent (over 6k), it would have been poorer colour and clarity…not canadian.

I just try and remember he picked this ring for ME. He sat there for hours by himself and picked it for me.

I love it.

@fortysomething:  Seriously?  First it’s moissanite vs diamond, now it’s largs rings vs small rings. What’s next? White gold vs platinum?
