Since looking at threads of small rings, I find them SO ELEGANT!!! I appreciate the beauty of a small, delicate ring. They look quite amazing on the right hand. I have large knuckles and so a small stone doesn’t flatter my hand. I opted for quite a large setting, but still no stone is larger than 0.33 ct (the center stone) The tw is 0.75 ct. I wear the sweetest split shank ring on my right hand with a tw of 0.16ct.

Yay dainty rings!
I felt like my stone was *big* when my Fiance proposed (.51 ct on a size 4.5 finger) but as time has gone on, I think I’ve experience ‘shrinkage.’ I think that was honestly partly due to viewing some of the boards here on WB. But it didn’t last long, especially after realizing that most of the women I saw in day-to-day life really didn’t have ‘huge’ rocks.
I’m in love with my ring all over again and have no plans to upgrade it- especially when I actualy take the time to CLEAN it and it sparkles and looks ‘big’ to me all over again. 😉
ETA: I almost forgot to add my favorite part! The ‘surprise’ diamonds in the setting. 😉

I personally don’t think my ring is small at all for the UK, but it would probably be considered “small” by lots of bees. 0.75 total weight with a 0.45 round centre stone and 0.15 pear side stones. I think it’s the perfect size for me!
I love all the rings on this thread and I’m so excited to finally be able to add mine!

This is not mine YET but it will be in a couple of months! 😀 I’ve tried it on, but no pics of it on my hand. SO is long-distance atm so I can’t sneak it out of the drawer for a photoshoot, lol.
It’s vintage, and it’s about 0.25 carats total…so I guess each wee diamond is like 0.03 or so. I love it! it will look great on my tiny tiny size 3.75 finger 🙂

I love my delicate smaller-size ering, I can pair it with my wider diamond anniversary band without feeling “too much”!
I just buy large gemstone rings to wear on my right hand!
All of you have gorgeous rings!

@rachelmichelle: ooo- I love your ‘surprise!’, it looks so pretty!
Here is my small e-ring- it’s about .70 carats total weight including the side stones (not sure how big the main diamond is). I’m a simple understated gal & never really got into diamonds too much so I wanted something classy & simple (without alot of prongs, detailing, etc<– basically so I woulnd’t have to get it cleaned as often). My Fiance & I looked at quite a few settings & stones and after 3-4 store visits & countless hours online he picked out this beauty second-hand (which makes me even happier b/c I LOVE deals):
& I’ve got a little surprise as well! The side of the center setting opens up so you can see the bottom tip of the diamond:

I have no clue what carat weight mine is, I adore it. My original was a 1/5 ct solitaire with a 1/4 ct band. My rings pretty tiny compared to some of my friends lovely works for me. Plus I got it at the bargain price of $150 so I feel good about that too.

I’ve gone back and forth on this but I’ve grown to love my ring. It represents where we are in life NOW and we can build on it. I think it’s about 1/4 carat… not sure. But I do love how delicate it is and how it looks on my hand. WOOT WOOT for small rings! Top one is the night we got engaged, second one is a close up

Aww iv not had chance to post a pic of my engagement ring yet 🙂 and I’m so excited as we collected our wedding bands at the weekend, my engagement ring is small and perfect with one diamond (sorry have no idea of size?!) and so we decided on a white gold thin band (2mm) with 12 diamonds set across the top half. B e a utiful!! Only have 16 months to wait to wear it!! Not that I’m counting! My fiancé went for a platinum band with subtle strips of different coloured platinum all the way around it. After dress regret issues it was exciting to order then collect our wedding bands 🙂 here is my e-ring that my lovely other half picked and paid for entirely on his own, bless him.

New pic of my ring… .30ct diamond in 18k white gold. Setting is looking a little yellow, but not too shabby for its age, 6 years old and no redipping!

Yay! I love my ring too. Not sure the carat weight, but it was my grandmother’s from the 1940s. We had it reset. Heart! Here it is with my band that I sneaked on one day!

@kayrie95: Waiting Bee, so I’m only wishing it’s mine. It’s from the site I know my boyfriend is planning to order from though, so keep your fingers crossed for me. =D
Yours is beautiful too. The size on your finger is perfection.

@fortysomething: I just want to say not every woman with a large ring picks it. My Fiance was the one who wanted a large stone and pushed for it. In the end I love it, but mostly I love the fact that he knew I was sentimental and an upgrade would never happen. It was thus important to him to make that ring more than I ever dreamed possible because he knew in his heart he’d only get that one shot. He is like that with everything in our relationship. I love this man he is amazing and has the kindest heart I’ve ever met. The fact he’s chosen me makes me truly blessed.
