Well I would have never have considered my .5 carat diamond solitaire small, but apparently some people do. And yes, I love my ring!

I never would have considered my ring small, but some people on this site have MASSIVE rings. like, planets orbit around them big.

I love my ring.

This is my amethyst ring. It’s small compared to many of the rings on Weddingbee, but the size of the stone is pretty standard in the UK.

I do (.53), but I have small hands. I got to pick mine out, so I love it. 🙂

Its so funny how times have changed- my moms engagement ring to my father (from the 70s) was considered to be very respectable…and it was .20ct! Its a beautiful stone (IF, D color,  excellent cut) but I don’t think i’ve ever seen a bee post a solitaire that small.

I’ve always wanted a .5 center stone or less, my hands are super tiny (I will definitely have to get the ring sized). So we’ll see. I love the amethyst one above!

In Switzerland it’s very uncommon to have an engagement ring or even a diamond ring. So I feel very blessed and happy to have one!!! Mine is 0.61 carats and I love the dainty look very much!!!

@bkrocks13:  true, know what you mean. This is true about houses as well. Homes are becoming larger and larger square footage wise!

@missmorganista:  Your marquise is very nice. Don’t feel bad. Hang around for awhile and you will see that many if not most, of the humungous rings around here are actually diamond simulants.  With a sim, might as well go big or go home as cost is no issue.

@Sanibel13:  We visited Zurich and Lucerne about 15 years ago. I remember how outrageously expensive a tiny diamond ring was then. Don’t know if that’s still the case. Is price the reason for it being uncommon to have a diamond or is there a different stone/or other engagement item traditionally used? Your ring is gorgeous by the way. Love the six prongs with the diamonds down the band.Smile

Beautiful rings ladies!
