Just out of curiousity – is anyone in small groups? I have been in a small group with my Girlfriend from church for the past 3 years, and my husband and I are wanting to start our own group with married couples now. I’ve been raised in church my whole life, and I LOVE having Christian fellowship- Any other Bees have groups like these? Really interested to see how common/ uncommon it is in other states or even religions.

We love doing small groups! We are just about to start with with a few other couples from our church. It is such a great way to meet new people from the church!

@kinneybride: Our church has a large small group “community” but we don’t really hvae one that we’ve been able to be part of. We did have one we were going to for awhile but DH’s work schedule changed and we had Dirty Delete so the time is now just too late for her…. she HAS to start getting ready for bed aroun 7:30 or things do not go well with her. lol. Another one on blended families is hosted by DH’s boss (we all go to church together) but it again is at a time that Darling Husband is still working & it’s just for the couples so we can’t do that one either. =(
Makes me sad, but I know this season won’t last forever & we’ll get back to the place of being able to be more connected soon enough. =)

Yea- I just started one and called it “The Honeymooners” preferably for newlyweds/married people without kids yet- I want to always be surrounded with Christian friends who are in the same turning point in life, when we have kids, I’m sure things will change and our lessons will evolve accordingly 😉 Its good to hear other people find it important!

Yes! Small groups/Bible studies are so fantastic. We had “Sunday school” with the same group at our home church. Still settling in here and haven’t joined a group yet, but they are so great for support and learning.

We’re not in one specifically for couples, but both of us are in a men or women’s small group through our church. We know a bunch of newlyweds in the area though and we’re looking at starting one for all of us in January. I love small groups!

- Wedding: May 2013 - The bride's hometown United Methodist Church near Kalamazoo
I love small group bible studies: I’ve been involved in several throughout the years and lead one this past fall and love the amazing fellowship, conversation, and studdy that results.

Yep, very common here in Australia. I love them though I’m not in one at the moment, due to balancing work and teenage/adult kids.

I love going to small group. 🙂
Lately I’ve gotten out of the habit because studies have kept me busy, but there’s an awesome campus ministry here at my university that does both a large group and offers several different small groups.
