danaberries :  I’ve been meaning to tell you, everytime I see a photo of your ring I literally just go “OH WOW.” Every time. I’ve always had my heart set on another cut but your ring is the first to make me waver 😛

mbean23 :  Sure, he got it from PENNIjewel. ^_^ But the moissanite by default are Forever Classic, so if you want the whiter stone, you need to request the Forever Brilliant, which is a bit more expensive.

volvo321 :  Do you know the width of your yellow gold band? I’m looking for something with about the same proportions.

If you already love, and wear larger sized center stones or solitaires the 2 carat will suite you! My ring size is 4.25 to accommodate for swelling, and the center stone is 1.5 carat, 8×6 mm oval with a scalloped band.

Edited to add: Oh sorry,  I missed your update. Are you going with an oval or round for the 7 mm or 7.5 mm?

As someone who has a size 6.75 – 7 finger I am so jealous of how much finger coverage you ladies get!

5.75 is the ring size, but it’s pretty loose right now. I think I’m going to be around a size 5 when my last 30 lbs is gone:). 2.5 ct center.

mbean23 :  Hm. What shape are you normally drawn to? You can try the trick I heard about on here where you try costume rings with different sized ovals, and rounds to see what you like on your hand best. Ovals offer more finger coverage which is great. Many ring advice articles recommend ovals or pears for small handed ladies because, ovals visually lengthen the fingers. I think they are very elegant, and classic. In the end my advice is that if you usually go for one shape over the other, you will probably love that best. Happy hunting, and keep us updated!
