Unlike many of you, SO and I have never really had the full on marriage conversation. He knows I want to get married, and for me that’s pretty much good enough. I’m still young, so bringing it up every day seems pushy (in my case – I do not mean for you lovely ladies). I’m 22, he is 30 and we’ve been together over 5 years. I’ve known I want to get married for about a year. I had been beginning to wonder if we really did need to have the full marriage conversation, discuss timelines and all (I never really did this because we know we want to be together forever, and he knows thy that means marriage for me, so what more is there to say?). Well today I was being silly and wearing a huge gum-machine style ring around the house and he starts trying to see how loose it is on me. I tell him, I think it fits pretty well and he starts looking all over the thing for the size. Eeeeek. He cares! And is thinking about it! That’s all I need!
A very small update, but I had to share! Of course I want to get engaged this second, but when I use my rational mind, I know there is no rush. Hopefully this assurance can keep me calm for a few months!
Happy new years bees!
