anonkimmy:  smaller venue will be cozy and heighten the atmosphere. (as long as it’s not cramped and stuffy)
GOOD FOOD IS ESSENTIAL.

Did you see that post (can find it right now) about what people remember most about weddings they attended? (little hint: it wasn’t the decorations πŸ˜‰ )

So go for the good food every time!

I’d rather have good food than a little extra elbow room! I say go with the small venue with great food!

If you are really worried about space – is it possible to scale down your guest list a little bit?

I think it really depends on just how “cozy” it’s going to get in there. Any dimensions you can share/head count/etc?

If it’s a small venue, does it still technically fit the number of guests you’ll have? That’s all that matters. And I personally would love good food over space.

I think that a cozy space can be nice but if I can’t sit comfortably or it’s one long table and everyone has to get up every time someone has to go to the bathroom that would probably be a little too tight for me.

how many people and how much space? what is the comfortable capacity of the venue?

I’ve eaten – or in some case skipped – lousy food, at enough weddings, in my life.

I definitely support the better food.  That said, how’s the air circulation in there?  Will it become stuffy or, heaven forbid, stinky?  You don’t want everyone eating the awesome food and then leaving because they’re too uncomfortable.  I second the recommendation that you see if you can pare down your guest list to make a little more room – or see if the location will cater elsewhere!
