My brother’s wedding was about 20 people and mine was around 40. Both were awesome and meaningful and fun. You do you!

Small and perfectly formed 🙂

enjoy as much prep and pomp as you both like and drop anything you feel isn’t ‘you’.  I’m sure your friends and family will feel very honoured to be at your intimate celebration.  I’ve been to a wedding of 8 (including the bride and groom). It was totally adorable and very very loving and warm. Go for exactly what you want.

Small weddings are great; I love them. They’re not uncommon, so you’re not doing something strange or unheard of.

Yes, have the wedding that’s right for you and your fiancé. You’re not going overboard. It sounds like your wedding will be beautiful.

We said to heck with a big wedding and decided to do us and our 20 closest friends/family in the forest in KY overlooking a gorge. It’s for us.  I haven’t always dreamed of some crazy huge traditional wedding.

Some of us spend so much time planning big weddings to apease other people.  Do what makes you guys happy!

My wedding was 30 people. I wish we were waived minimums like you! We just paid for 50 servings in a buffet, which worked out in the end because we had some big eaters there! Our cake fed 35 because they said they couldn’t make it any smaller, haha!

It does feel a little weird while planning since most people have big weddings (at least the ones I know), but it’s so much more fun on the day-of that your guests will really appreciate it.

We’re having 12 guest, maybe less, and I am so excited about it!! I don’t have any living family left so pretty much everyone is from FIs side.

I read this think – um, did I write a post and not remember?! Other than the golf course/vegas part, it pretty much us too! I actually discussed with my fiancé tonight the fact that 16-20 sounded way too small, so we were trying to think of other people to add. But in the end we want those closest to us, and I’m perfectly happy with it! I don’t want to add semi-close people just for the sake of it. go with what’s YOU and you won’t regret it!

minari16:  Nothing has to be compared to anything else. This is YOUR wedding. Lots of weddings are small and intimate, yours can be whereever you want to do that, on a golf course or anywhere else. So many positives to embrace, like the smaller bill, the more time you have to talk to every person, the comfort and ability to get very specific with your touches. Who do you have to feel weird to? You don’t answer to anyone for this 🙂
