It’s in Fort Tryon Park, not Westchester, so may not be helpful but New Leaf is very scenic and romantic:

FWIW, we’re having a restaurant reception for 30, and for just wedding day expenses (photog/videog, ceremony fees, transportation, dinner/alcohol- not counting rings, attire, honeymoon), we’re spending about $13K. It just adds up quickly.

$3K is a lot- I’d personally rather put that toward the honeymoon or savings, but only you and Fiance can decide what your priorities are. Perhaps one thing to consider is *why* you are so heart set on having a private venue vs. a private room in a restaurant- is it for appearances for your guests, for example? What about the private venue seems like it would enhance your wedding, and why?

flower2324:  Look into Traveler’s Rest in Millwood. My aunt got married there and we have been to many friends’ and family parties there. They have beautiful gardens out back with a couple of rooms that overlook them. We don’t know the new owners, but we have always been treated with such respect and like family every time we go. I would recommend!

flower2324:  We are having two photographers and a videographer in a room that is meant to hold 40. I will be wearing my wedding dress and veil all evening- I considered a less formal dress, but ended up finding one in a sample sale that I love that is formal but appropriate for this particular wedding. We also aren’t counting on getting any gifts at all from guests, so made our budget with that in mind.

Oh, I don’t know anything about the management there- hopefully you would have a better experience with them. It is in such a beautiful area and would make for lovely photos.
