Congrats on your engagement! I’m also planning a wedding in NE Ohio, but had to avoid small places seeing that we both have huge families.  Here are some ideas:

Old Stone B&B (you can rent the whole house): http://www.oldstonebandb.com/index.asp

Inn At Brandywine Falls: http://www.innatbrandywinefalls.com/meetings.htm

Look About Lodge at Chagrin Falls Reservation: http://www.clemetparks.com/pdf/LAL_brochure.pdf

Debonne Vineyard (or any of the vineyards near Madison): http://www.debonne.com/party-rentals

The Nicholson House in Lakewood: http://lakewoodhistory.org/nichol.htm

I hope these help! They are a less ‘traditional’ venues…

This is where we had ours: http://www.windsorhallinc.com/

The food was awesome and very reasonable: $23 per person which included 2 meats, 1 starch, 1 vegetable, full salad bar and 1 10 gallon keg of beer; $1 per person for china and $1 per person for linens.

Great Lakes Brewery is amazing!  We’re having our reception at the 100th Bomb Group and they’re a little pricey, but upfront about everything.

Good Luck!
