I was going to say I don’t like a halo on stones under .75 or so because they look to cluster-y to me, but the pictures posted by

My ring has a .2 center & has a double halo on a size 6.5 finger. I love it!

ebjanee:  i don’t think there’s such a thing as a “too small” centerstone for a halo (on the other hand, i *do* think there’s such a thing as too big – once you get over about 1.5/2 carats, adding a halo just starts to look like too much, imo). the beauty of a halo is that it can help to enhance a small center stone, and give you more finger coverage – halos are pretty much perfect for smaller stones! i think the only thing you could say about a stone being too small, is that at some point your halo is no longer a halo, and just becomes a cluster. when the size of the center stone isn’t substantially different from the size of the halo stones, it’s more of a clutser ring than a halo ring. but this is just a matter of semantics, and not aethetics. so halo away!
