ok–daughters wedding is over–! We just got back our wedding pics and I am sooo pleased with the ones we got–however, I am disappointed with the ones that we did not get.
All the important ones she did get–bride and groom, bridal party and all the usual pics
However, we had a very “style me pretty” wedding with soooo many details. She did bring on a 3rd shooter just to get the details, but there were still a LOT missed. My daughter and I slaved over so many DIY things that there was not any pics of!
So, my idea was to stage a little “moc” wedding and recreate some of the details before I sell all the stuff! Am I being OCD?
No pics of our Smores Bar, our Ice Cream Bar, all the signs we made, our homemade apple butter, our late night french fries! and quite a few more!

How does your daughter feel about it? Honestly, I think this would be overboard for the bride to redo, but as the MOB, I think you’re definitely going too far. Her day was gorgeous from what we’ve seen, and everyone looked really happy. You have the memories and some amazing pictures. Is it worth the stress over pictures of food? Just include a menu in your keepsakes.

Once those things are thrown away, you won’t be able to, so go ahead and do it. It’s not going to hurt anything if you do, but you might regret it if you don’t.

I wasnt going to have everyone “dress up” . Just recreate the table/linens etc and try to take pics with some of the details -that we MADE!!!
I am trying to get my videographer to find some stills of things we didnt get pics of.
Honestly–the wedding was more than we could have hoped for–but when you spend 14 months doing all these details–you would feel upset if there was not a record of them.

youre talking setting up tables only? meaning not the bridal party having to redo their hair, dress etc?? if setup only then i would do it because its not going to cost you anything plus you will always be wondering what if and why didnt we

@mobjune25: I think you should totally do it!
PS: I am really excited to see the stuff you’re selling 😀

@mobjune25: While I really don’t appreciate your response insinuating that I must not understand (because I spent 24 months planning and MAKING!!! so many things for my own wedding, many of which I did not get pictures and still I manage), if it’s only the tables (which was unclear in your original post), then sure, whatever, go ahead.
I still wonder what the bride thinks?

The Bride wants the pics also, I was not insinuating that someone else would not understand about planning–just saying that a lof of really hard work went into a lot of details and years from now my daughter would love to show her kids everything her mom and her made for her wedding!!
The pics are on
