Hello fellow Bee’s!
I am wanting to have both a smores bar and for sure a cheesecake buffet since the groom will be having cheesecake’s for his grooms cake. Our wedding is November 5th but I have a delima though…our wedding is at 11a.m. and i really want a smores bar incorporated somewhere in the rehearsal dinner/wedding reception process!!! Is 11a.m. too early for a smores bar???I know usually this is an evening type of thing. I am thinking that i may can have the smores bar at our rehearsal dinner, but if that falls through(location is questionable) i still want the smores bar,it’s a main “NEED” LOL 🙂
Also, what kind of toppings and how many cheesecakes should i get? I thought one cheesecake would be “spotlighted” as the grooms cake and the others arranged for the buffet but on the same table.
Any suggestions,ideas,thoughts?! 🙂

Hmmm. Its really up to you! It sounds cute. What foods are you having or is this just a desserts type reception?
I would stick to the basics for cheesecake, a fruity one, a plai onne, perhaps once with chocolate or something drizzled to spice things up!

In my opinion, it is never too early for s’mores.
As for the cheesecake bar, I’d suggest the same kind of toppings you might have at a sundae bar- fruit, chocolate sauce, carmel, maybe candy pieces or nuts, etc.
It all sounds delicious!

I was thinking of doing a s’mores bar too! And no, I don’t think that is too early (its never too early for s’mores!)

Are you wanting toppings for the cheesecake or different kinds of cheesecake? We are doing plain cheesecake with toppings and will have cherries, strawberries, blueberries, chocolate, caramel, chocolate chips, pecans (or walnuts) and whipped cream. We will have 1 cheesecake for every 10-12 guests I think.

Is your ceremony at 11am? Because by the time people get settled to eat it will be lunchtime. Personally I think smores are good any time, but it would be more around a meal then 🙂
@BoiledPNut: I agree, could you set out plain cheesecake and then offer toppings they can add themselves? These were good topping suggestions!

We are having appetizers and lots of finger foods. No big meal. It’s tradition in the grooms family to provide a big rehearsal dinner, that’s not limited to just the wedding party but all close friends and family and all out of town guests. I guess it’s basically an engagment party/celebration/pre-wedding type of dinner, so we wont go all out on food for the wedding. I’ve been to other weddings in their family and they always do this and it’s awsome!Lots of fun. That’s why i am thinking of the smores bar for the rehearsal dinner. I think it’s something they will love!
Thanks for the suggestion, variety cheescake will be better i think.

I think it would be more fun to do plain cheesecake with a variety of toppings! but that is just my opinion if i were a guest at a cheesecake buffet!!!
