I used wrapping paper to make it look like a gift. And I used a razorblade to cut the hole!

Good Luck

I used wrapping paper as well and wrapped it the same way I would wrap any gift.  I used scissors for the holes.

I used wrapping paper for the base and spray paint for the top 2 layers.  For the holes, it was a combination of jigsaw blade and razor blade (the nesting boxes were of VERY heavy duty cardboard and the jigsaw was the only option that wouldn’t leave me very very sore and very frustrated!  The base box was regular cardboard and was easy to cut using a razor blade).  Here’s my cardbox:

Are card boxes only for weddings?  What about showers?

@Nati-Lyte:  We used one for our engagement party as well, but I think for showers maybe not so much because you are expected to open presents at the party.  I think the card boxes come in handy for those party where you expect to get cards but don’t expect to be opening them until after the party sometime.  I’ll let others chime in on that, but that’s my thoughts on it.
