We used Indochino, which is similar. My fiance has gotten a few good quality custom suits that way. 🙂

We used indochino, and luckily it was on big sale (paid $400 on a $700 suit).. DH still had to pay roughly $250 for alterations (Indochino covered $75 of that–which is included with all suit purchases). The suit looked great in the end though.

Getting a suit for $250 could work, but I’d make sure that their refund policy is generous (preferably including return shipping) and I’d order with enough buffer time and some savings put aside so you can get a different suit in case if the quality is too low.

scissorgirl :  yeah that’s totally possible.  Like I said, super hard to judge without seeing the product yourself.  I hope they send you the samples without a problem.  🙂
