I love Weddingbee, too.  🙂

But be careful, if you say they names they will hear you and they will come!  LOL

They even make up weird names for the girls they make fun of… last time I was poking around on there I found a lot of them referring to girls as “bebees” or something like that? In reference to them being newbies at wedding planning I think. So odd, and so inappropriate. No thanks, “knotties.”

Oh really??? I haven’t even looked at it.  Won’t bother with it now.  Thanks for the heads up.

I looked around theknot a few weeks ago, but the website in itself is a little overwhelming.  I do like their budget thingy, but that’s about it.  I looked at the boards, commented on one actually, and was really offended by some of the comments people made to the OPs of the threads.  In specific, I was looking at the flower boards.  Someone posted a location-related question in the main boards, as opposed to the local boards, and everyone was giving her crap about it instead of actually attempting to help her.  One even told her to “get out and learn how to post on message boards”.  I mean, really?  Aren’t wedding boards supposed to be for support, inspiration, and discussing wedding-related topics?  What mean brides!

bunch of bia bia’s on there, i agree.

Embarrasingly i must admit (i didnt know any better!!!) and I created my wedding website there…it has been helpful in finding vendors as well, but honestly, i read the boards there for an occasional laugh (and to see how the term Bride-zilla was coined!)

Any questions that I have I am always coming to WB first!!!!!! I love you guys! 🙂

I’ve got to be honest in that I didn’t even sign up for it.  I just found all the sign-up questions the site asks you to be too intrusive.  I mean, I just want to post on a message board, why do you need to know all my details.  Creepy!

Now I’m glad I didn’t sign-up.  Yay wedding bee!

Oh yeah, I left the knot too. Got critized for having a wedding “at my age”, for asking guests to bring a dish to the pig roast instead of a gift, for not registering, blah, blah, blah. Love WB!

I am 100% converted, too! I made the mistake of posting a vent on the boards about a couple of our “friends” who were going to plan their wedding the week before ours and I was REALLY upset… and I got called selfish, rude and immature. One woman even said “I’m having my baby two days before your wedding, is that okay?” AWFUL!

I canceled my account the next day and sing the praises of the ‘bee to anyone and everyone! So glad you feel the welcome that you deserve!
