So, as a bride, I’m extremely unaware of the ins and outs. I felt two steps behinds all the other brides to be because I was never understanding of the fact its not just get hitched and go on vacation, so its been a trying few months with planning everything. I’m not one for the lovey dovey typical engagement pictures, but had been stalking a local photographer via facebook for about 6 months and figured an engagement session could be a preliminary for finding an awesome wedding photographer. So as of now, I only have a sneak peek but so far so good!

Great location! I’m not one for super lovey-dovey pictures either. Our E-shoot is in a couple weeks so I’m also scouring the web for ideas. Don’t want to copy but don’t want to look awkward in front of the camera either. Did you feel like you didn’t know what to do with yourself? That’s my fear!

@Araya: Thank you so much dear! I actually just found out the photog will be mailing the remainder of the pics out today so i’m excited to see close ups, and you could never creep me out :)!

@RiverBride13: I completely agree with you! Except for the wonderful school pictures ( we’re going back 10 years now) I’ve never had my picture taken by a professional photog so that alone freaked me out. We did go through the motions of the awkward “gaze” into each other’s eyes and “kissing” pictures but having him there eased the situation and helped both of us relax. A lot of the direction was solely based on the photographer. I got lucky because I left everything in her hands and she picked the location, style, etc.
