Sneak Peek Gender Test?

What do you mean by sneak peak test? Do you mean genetic testing or something at home? I had the NIPD lab work done for other reasons and we found out the gender at 10 weeks as part of the results. The genetic testing is accurate, but I feel like anything you would do at home is likely a 50/50 chance for accuracy.

There were a lot of people who did it on my birth board, but some of them were definitely incorrect. I’m not sure what their margin of error is.

snowysaku :  I saw a post on my local moms group about that, there were definitely some that it was not accurate for.

I know two people who did it who’s results were accurate. We were able to get a gender confirmation via ultrasound at 13 weeks At a boutique location! It was only $45!

Never heard of an at home test…but I’d guess if yours came back boy it’s accurate. Just assuming that it’s based on looking for the Y chromosome in your blood that wouldn’t be present unless you’re having a boy, therefore if it were a false result I’d assume it would always come back “girl” if it fails to detect the Y chromosome.
