I think whatever means that you are comfortable and happy on your wedding day is what you should do! I’m also going to wear flats. One of my friends wore chucks (popular trend). I say go for it

I am personally not a fan of sneakers with gowns. I wore some yosi samra glitter flats and they were super comfortable. I didn’t care what shoes my BMs wore but told them no sneakers. I ended up lifting that ban for my sister who is 6 months pregnant and the ceremony was on grass and there were uneven stones. She got the Kate spade glitter sneakers in black. Look wise, she didn’t like them because the white rubber part of the sole really stuck out and they looked kind of odd with a gown. I say look for some comfortable flats.

Wear what you want! I can’t see my shoes in a single wedding picture. Comfort is most important, in my opinion.

ย I bought a pair of pretty comfy heals for pics, the ceremony/ until my feet hurt. I am planning on getting some flats/runners as well. Was thinking even some basic keds I can make use of later. If I find the perfect pattern on a pair of toms I will get them instead.

Do it! No one will see under your dress anyway!

I wore my best up old combat boots that I wear to shows under my dress. No complains.

I wore those same sneakers for the same exact reasons for my wedding last month ๐Ÿ™‚ also my husband is 5’7″ and I’m 5’9″, so flats were going to be the way to go anyway.

ย

I LOVED them. My photographer LOVED them. My bridesmaids LOVED them. My FEET loved them. I danced all night, can’t wait for a reason to wear them out again lol. My dress was blush–I went with the Rose Gold–but I really don’t think you can go wrong. And no one can see your feet anyway–wear what you want!

My Darling Husband works at Nike so it’s a huge part of our lives and we have a little bit of a shoe problem. He had custom Nikes made for me! Idk if you’ve seen SYTTD ATL, but when I asked to try on the shoes with my dress Lori freaked out on me like she does to the brides on the show who don’t wear heels lol. I’m 5’0 and Darling Husband is 6’1, but like you, we like our height difference! And DHs dress shoes were Cole haans with a Nike sole (Nike used to own them), so they made him even taller.

I’m a fan! I wore Toms to my wedding so I’m in the “flats” camp. Go for it! I love those Kate Spade gliter sneaks.

You should wear what makes you happy, but personally, I’d go with some cute ballet flats or flat sandals instead. Sneakers with a big formal gown just doesn’t look very chic to me. I think shoes should complement your look, not challenge them.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a punk rock bride. But there’s having a cohesive, alternative look, and then there’s slapping some Converse onto a princess outfit without any rhyme or reason.

Those are adorable! I love the blue and rose gold both! I think that the rose gold would be magical but if your looking for something blue then you could use your shoes for that if go with the blue ๐Ÿ™‚

Love these!  Personally, I’ll be wearing either Converse or Toms.

I’ve got these but wearing for reception only. I was determined to wear them for ceremony too but I have a sheath dress and they poke out a bit too much. If I had a ball gown or a poofier bottom I’d 10000000% be wearing them all day!
