I’m wearing crystal chucks during my ceremony and first dance. When I change into my reception dress I’ll change to heels. I don’t like heels less than 4 inches so I’ll switch when someone can see them lol

rachelward16 : I’ve seen these in shops, the ones you have shimmer really nicely under lights and have a lovely smooth finish to then. Mine I think are a previous model to yours, picked them up off ebay and they are much more glittery than I expected … this is how they looked on the ad …

Definitely wear whatever you want! I have a chronic foot problem that leaves me disabled and requiring regular surgery. I wore flats for the ceremony through the first dance then changed into tennis shoes and I rocked them! Who cares what other people think? People can jump on here and tell you they don’t like tennis shoes with wedding dresses, but at the end of the day, it is your wedding so you wear what you feel comfortable in! I would not have been able to make it through the wedding without changing- I would have had to sit for the rest of the night or take pain pills, neither of which I wanted on my wedding day! Besides, nobody can see your shoes under your dress!

I think its an awesome idea! Then again I may be biased because Im wearing those exact kate spade shoes in rose gold! They’re super comfy and cute.

Oh my gosh, I have been considering those shoes in rose gold as well! Only if I can find them much cheaper though, haha. I agree with the previous posters…do what you want! It’s the motto of my wedding planning 😀

rosebudabw : I got the rose gold ones to wear for the reception! I’d wear them for the ceremony as well, but FI’s a good bit taller than me and our ceremony is only going to be about 20 ish mins. So I’ll suck it up and wear heals for the ceremony. But no way in heck I’m wearing them all night. As soon as we’re out the door, the Kate spade Keds are going on!

If very honestly I think it it looks horrible. I can not see a point of spending huge amount of money on a gown and pairing it with shoes one wears with jeans. I am not a fan of mixing styles which don’t mix. However, when I had health issues I did wear my nikes with to the office. I didn’t like it but I had no choice… So if there are any health considerations esthetic concerns go through the window.
How about bridal flats? I have seen so many bees here posting amazing elegant shoes which look amazing with a traditional wedding attire.
I wore heels and it is what I wear to dress up. Also my hubby is very tall (6’3)

I spent tonnes on michael kors heels, i lasted 1.5 hours in them and then the rest of the evening in my 15 pound ebay flip flops! So much more comfy and nobody could see!

Do it! I wore these, and they were amazing!

I wore heels for the pictures and ceremony, and was in so much pain that they came off the second we left the ceremony space! I wore maroon chucks the rest of the night, and had so much more fun dancing because I felt great. I promise, you will not regret doing anything that makes you enjoy your own wedding more.

If you want to, go for it! I wore my mom’s cowboy boots, they were my “something old”. I planned on just taking pictures in them but ended up never taking them off and I returned my “wedding shoes” because I didn’t wear them.

Nope. Not crazy at all…as a matter of fact, ill be doing the same.
Since I was little, I remember seeing an Oprah episode in which actress Erika Alexander got married in a beautiful ballgown….and had on sneakers. I grew up a tomboy so I was in friggin love lol
Im going to have a pair of royal blue Chuck Taylors customized and wear them down the aisle. FH is thinking about wearing a pair too (of course, not Bedazzled). Im excited!
