Ok so I managed to sneak a quick cellphone pic of my ring – very naughty! – before it gets hidden away from me until February. It arrived here last Friday but I couldn’t resist the urge to show it off here
I cannot wait for him to slip this onto my finger and to ask me to be his wife!
Pardon the bad quality

Beautiful! What kind of stone is that?

Very beautiful and huge center stone! Is that a blue topaz?

Beautiful… looks like an emerald cut- but is it an emerald or a topaz? The color is not clear on my screen!

gorgeous! looks to be an emerald or a paraiba tourmaline. love that it’s a gemstone, in yellow gold, congrats!

Thank you for the lovely compliments everyone! I apologize once again for the bad quality of the pic – my cellphone camera sucks lol. It’s an emerald-cut emerald and there are moissanite sidestones.
Funnily enough I was contemplating a London blue topaz because I love that shade of blue and @lynashag: I wish I could afford a paraiba – love love love how those stones seems to glow,

Ooh, I love it! AND I love that you snuck a pic to post. My custom ring just came in from the jeweler and I had to try it on to make sure it fit, but now it has been hidden away from me until The Proposal. I hope he surprises you and does it sooner than you’re expecting- it’s gorgeous and I’m sure you can’t wait to wear it.

@TeamAwesome: Thank you hehe I couldn’t resist and like you, I had to try it out to make sure that it fit – though I slipped it on my right ring finger and not the left lol. Did you manage to sneak a photo of your ring? I’d love to see yours or if not, maybe you can describe it?
That being said, yay!! You and I are at the same point in our respective waiting! Do you have any idea when your SO is going to propose? Lol I can hope he may do it sooner but I really don’t think so, he drunkenly confessed his plans and he said that since he told me, it won’t be a surprise so he can’t do it anymore lol.

I love the green/blue of the gem. I bet your counting down now 😀

@Miss Circe: Oh wow. I have always thought that gem stone rings are pretty but never wanted one for myself as an engagement right…until now!
Your ring is so beautiful and classic it is seriously making me rethink what kind of center stone I want! It’s so, so beautiful (did I already say that? Oh well).
