I never snooped when I was waiting, and I don’t now.  It doesn’t help; in fact, it only seems to create problems.

Snoop how?  Snoop through his person stuff?  Never.  I trust him completely, and he tells me everything anyway.  Now if I knew he bought the ring and it was in the apartment I would totally snoop.  He knows that, too.

I would snoop to find the box, but I wouldn’t look at the contents :3

@Bunny82:  I was born a snooper.  I always knew my Christmas presents when I was a little kid.  I’m a lot better now, but when I get really excited… you get the picture.  I have a pretty good idea of when my SO is going to propose and we’re picking the ring out together, so I’m not going to ruin a surprise if I see the ring before he proposes.

I snooped (yes, past tense) because I was the one who purchased the center stone to get the ball rolling. Therefore, he proceeded to “hide” it while I was standing there. So I would peek in on it from time to time and then one day it was gone and now I get to “officially” wait for the ring to appear. Hopefully I wont stumble upon it and even more hopefully he wont “hide” it in the same spot! (Top drawer of his dresser.. really?)

@discodance:  I agree 100%. I snoop because I always have. I love surprises and can’t wait to get the surprise which combines into a perfect storm of me trying to ruin the surprise by finding out what it is. A very vicious cycle. I did it growing up (that’s how I found condoms and home and knew my parents got it on *sorry mom!!!*) and I do it to him because I want to know what fun things he has planned. Never did it to roomates though. That’s crossing a huge line.

I think snooping is okay sometimes. For example, I snooped and got SOs best friend’s phone number from his phone one day. I am flying SO back home for a boys weekend to watch his team play football with his two best friends and I coordinated everything with his friends as a surprise birthday presents for SO. I think SO wont mind I had to snoop to surprise him!! 🙂

I am mrs. curiosity killed the cat.  Every christmas I am trying to find out where he hid the Christmas/birthday presents.  And if I knew he was hiding an engagement I would try to hunt it down.  i am not the type of person that likes surprises.  I just hate not knowing what is going to happen

My SO calls me Nancy Drew…I’m just inquisitive by nature, so naturally I want to know everything about everything in every context ;].

I didn’t snoop because I didn’t want to ruin all the elements of surprise. I was glad I didn’t.

My to-be husband trusts me. I would never violate that trust by snooping, and I expect the same for him.

I snooped to see where my christmas present came from!  I think I had to prove to myself I wasn’t getting a ring so I can let it go for now!  It’s gonna be nice gift I’m sure 🙂  I have snooped for a ring box too but no luck.  I definitely wouldn’t open it even though I would be really tempted.
