Yeah… its the middle of April.. Yeah.. all the winter’s snow had finally melted off the ground.. green things were budding.. yeah yeah yeah… But guess what!? I get to work from home today because of it! Not only that, but it will all be melted again within 10 days.. and due to the extra precipitation and delayed spring the leaves on the trees should linger a bit longer and be a bit more colorful than last year come 9/21 (MY TRUE WEDDING DAY!!!).
My doggie is happy I am home today, I have a beautiful front row view of the blizzard from inside my house, and yeah… Life is just great.
Is it wrong for me to feel as good about this blizzard as I do? Everyone else seems to be really irritated over it, and rigthfully so. Not everyone has the luxury of working from home during inclement weather. I feel a little bit guilty – but not too much!!
All of you mid-western BEE’s please chime in – what are you doing to survive this right about now?

Where are you at? I am a FT grad student, so I am home like 70% of the time…but the word on the street is that we’re getting snow tomorrow.
I am attempting to do homework…WB is distracting me… and I am cuddled up underneath my big blankie like a child with a big cup of coffee.

@deetroitwhat: Minnesota – we ended up getting about 10 inches in my area, but I know that the totals were pretty sporadic around the metro, etc. I know what you mean about WB distraction! I don’t have to be working from home to get sidetracked with it! LOL! Where are you located?? Any weather updates?
So… today Fiance got into a car accident ..he says that he was beind them and they were driving erratically , then they slammed on their breaks and took a hard right without signaling their turn – FI slammed on his breaks but he fishtailed and smoked their rear end but not head on – when he fishtailed he ended up sliding into them on the driver’s side.
Nobody was hurt, and all the damage to the other car was a broken tail light. FI’s driver’s side door was crumpled though.. he slammed into them pretty good and its amazing he didn’t get hurt.
The police came out and assessed the scene, after talking to both parties the officer asked Fiance if he wanted to take any legal action. I guess it was apparent that they were in the wrong.
Glad I stayed home today!! They shut down the light rails and there were over 200 collision accidents, that doesnt even count the incidents that didn’t involve more than one vehicle…
