Is anyone else having a snow day today?? I live in Eastern NC and we are having a snow day…even though it’s not snowing…anytime there is the slightest chance here everyone freaks out and the grocery store is completely sold out of food. The marine corp base here is actually shut down for 2 days because of the chance of snow…crazy right.
I really wanted to see some snow…I rarely get to see it..maybe it will start soon! I would love to see pictures of y’alls snowday!!

In NC, too, and our office just decided to close today at 3pm – woot! 🙂 Sweet, I love snow. It hasn’t started here yet. It’s even a little bit sunny. I wouldn’t want to live somewhere it snows a lot, though.

Also in NC and having a snow day – my daughter got off school an hour ago instead of mid-afternoon. Nothing up here yet but they said it’s moving south to north so probably this evening. We’re laughing though because we’re from Canada and we never had snow days as kids no matter what.

@Merinda1994: We arent having a snow day but a cold day. we have plenty of snow already tho!!
All the schools are closed. I went to work yesterday but this morning it was so cold my car wouldnt start so I am working from home today. Looking foward to it being 20 degrees tomorrow!!! Right now it is 0 ( up from -4 yesterday) with a windchill of -20…it stinks! I am so over winter at this point
Enjoy your snow 🙂

Lol it hasn’t even snowed and your offices and school’s are closed! Wow they are serious haha. Hope you get some at least!

@kittyface: haha same kind of here- the only time my office completely closed was when we got 26 inches a few years back in like less than 24 hours. This cold though is super weird, the schools have been closed 4 times in 2014 already for the cold.

@Merinda1994: My husband has a snow day today (bc he works for a college), but I’m at work 🙁 We have SO MUCH SNOW we are running out of places to shovel it to… and I’m really concerned about flooding during the spring melting!

@MsJ2theZ: I know! Everyone freaks out here, I’ve never really seen snow more than a handful of times so I hope to see something, atleast to make all this comotion worth it!

We’re in MI and it’s crazy here. I can’t even see to back out of the driveway at work because of the snowbanks. Amost got hit yesterday 🙁 And it’s -19 here. I work at the only university in the lower penisula that it still open. Not that I would have gotten a snow day anyway, but I feel bad for all of the students walking to class and literally freezing! It’s dumb to be open when every other college in the state is closing!

@hogoboom2012: wow that is crazy! I can’t even imagine what -19 must feel like. Be safe!

I’m having a ‘my migraine is too bad to drive’ (I’m super dizzy) and it’s way too freaking cold to walk to work day. I work for a university and we shut down yesterday and this morning because it’s so cold out. Snow doesn’t usually stop things up here, but extreme cold can.

@Merinda1994: I’m in East Alabama. People are FREAKING out. Schools cancelled today and tomorrow, and there is not a flurry of snow to speak of yet. Coming from Colorado, this is absolutely hilarious. I do appreciate that things are closed though….I’d be terrified to be on the road with these people driving in ice or snow for the first time.

In the midwest and we were declared a state of emergency for the past 48 hrs. If you were caught driving on the road you could get fines up to $2500! Crazy!! Glad we went grocery shopping when we did 😀

@SophieB3: Exact same way here!! Walmart was completely out of EVERYTHING last night…even steak (??)…but yea last time it snowed significantly here was about 3 years ago…we got about 3-4 inches and within a two mile stretch down my road I swear there were atleast 10 cars that had spun-out/wrecked. My fiance’ is from Ohio so he is used to driving in it, but I told him please not to because other people are what you have to worry about.
