Something I posted on my pinterest wedding board that I always keep in mind.

“A wedding is a party, not a performance. If at the end of the day you are married to the one you love, then everything went Perfectly”

Just relax! 🙂

@KaitPar1:  I thought the same thing but our wedding was solo beautiful pictures could not capture the beauty. It will be more than perfect. Don’t stress. I did, worried until walked down the aisle and it was breath taken… My guest are still talking about it

@KaitPar1:  Your wedding will be beautiful and memorable because of the people involved. The problem with a lot of online wedding stuff is that the featured weddings are often top-of-the-line expensive affairs or thrown by people who are graphic designers or crafters by trade, so of course they’re gonna look incredible. But your wedding will still be gorgeous and heartfelt without the exact same details!

Anyway, it looks like you’ve got your wedding inspiration down (and it looks great, by the way!), so if you can try to avoid those sites that make you insecure and just focus on your own plans. In my experience overloading on wedding sites after you have a clear idea of where you want to go will just complicate things!

@KaitPar1:  I hear you on that! Looking at all those sites make me nuts and really indecisive too. “Oh, but I could have this too!” “What’s better? This or this?” I just had to stop eventually.

I can totally relate and am very happy to see all the comments that redirect our focus on the whole point of why we are getting married versus on the minor details that no one remembers anyways.

A friend of mine was actually insulted that I didn’t remember what her bridal bouquet consisted of when she married over 5 years ago!  I feel these people need to start focusing on the marriage that follows versus “the big day”.

@KaitPar1:  beach weddings are fabulous so don’t you worry a bit!

I wanted a beach wedding but I too was worried it wouldn’t be fancy or pretty enough so now we’re on a yacht and everything is formal and its starting to feel very not ME anymore…

starting to feel like I’m just trying to impress everyone and its getting annoying! lol

I want everything to be gorgeous, yes.

but do I need to stress about it being so? nahhh…

btw did you have an engagement shoot? I was soooooo worried they wouldn’t be pretty or fun or good enough and they turned out freaking fabulous so I am soooo excited to have my photogs capture the day in all the pretty ways I plan… I’m making sure there are lots of nice details and fun to be had and it looks like you are too so don’t worry! Your day will be wonderful and your photos will be gorgeous, I’m sure!!!

I love your invitations! and all of the pictures you posted, actually.

If your photog is that good, s/he will make whatever you have look even more fabulous in the pictures. Of course, the ocean doesn’t hurt.

About the pinterest projects… I haven’t personally seen many in person, and I’m only planning on using a few. However my sister called me just yesterday talking about a wedding she went to over the weekend. She was WORRIED about how many pinterest projects I would be using, because this wedding was so full of them that anyone who had browsed pinterest a handful of times would recognize most of what she’d done. Of course the overall effect was gorgeous though.

Basically, I think your ideas are great. If you have the time for pinterest projects to embellish or enhance it a bit, just don’t go overboard! Pick a few that are meaningful to you and/or showcase your personality and/or theme well!
