Fiance hates it, and I have a bit of a love-hate relationship…. We always go together, and try to get it all done one night per week. I sometimes have to bribe him with a bag of chips…..

@MrsMath:  He usually buys the staples at Fresh & Easy. I hit the carneceria and the Filipino grocery for meat & extra goodies. Since moving in together and me being unemployed, I’ve done most of the cooking and I like to mix it up so it makes sense for me to do the “specialty” shopping. When he lived alone he would cook a LOT of one thing and basically just eat that dish all week. I don’t like that. One night of leftovers is fine but by the third night I want something new!

I almost never go without him…I mean,if it’s just to pick up a few things, yes…but if it’s to restock the fridge and pantry…I am NOT up for that task alone.

We try and do it together as often as we can because we both enjoy it that way.

I plan the meals and make the list for the weekly big shop. We both add treats if they’re on sale.

He’ll pick up things here and there if we run out mid-week or there’s something specific on sale at another store. And that’s usually when he sneaks extras into the house.

We both go together. We go grocery shopping every two weeks, and ever since we started living together we both have gone. In between the two weeks though if we are out of something one of us will go get it alone, no biggie.

    okay now,

My Fiance is okay at best when it comes to shopping, once i ran to the other side of walmart to grab a pack of undies for our son, and when i came back, he had a package of cookies, a pie, beer, candy and pudding mix in the cart. edit: he also had icecream.

but the best one yet, its the time i sent him to the store for these cookies that jewel sometimes sells, they’re double chocolate chip sandwiched with buttercream frosting. and i dont always want them, but when i do, watch out world. AND of course, they didnt have them. so i told him to get a package of the chocolate chocolate chip cookies and a can of frosting..

he came home with chocolate SUGAR COOKIES and WHIPPED CREAM.

so yeah. he doesnt go shopping anymore.

We don’t really grocery shop, it’s more of a go get food when we need it. Part of that, I think, comes from working in a restaurant so, we eat a lot of our meals there.

I used to try to grocery shop on a regular basis, but husband wouldn’t tell me if he wanted anything from the store, and then would complain when I got home that I hadn’t gotten any food for him!

My Fiance doesn’t drive and she also hates grocery shopping, so I do it all, and I like it that way lol. We agreed to aim for under $120 a week but most of the time the bill ranges from $60 to $105. I have an app for my local grocery store where I can add all my items and it organises them by aisle and it also has a list of what’s on special so I can easily add stuff I want to my list.
