KiwiDerbyBride :  That sucks. Good on your health insurer for being on the ball.

p.s. Australia Post can be slow but I don’t think I’ve ever had things simply lost So if something fails to arrive altogether, there’s a good chance AusPost is not the culprit.

KiwiDerbyBride :  that’s horrible and sorry to hear about the hard times you guys are going through. I’ve been really disappointed myself with Australia post too. They left our home loan documents out on TOP of the mailboxes at our apartment, it got rained on and totally ruined but luckily no one stole it! Obviously very sensitive info in there… Also have noticed letters to nearby addresses just dumped on top of our mailboxes or on the ground in the soil next to it. I end up hand delivering the mail to our street myself lol!

That’s massively inconvenient. You sound like you could use some moral support more than advice (you’ve pretty much done everything you can do), so here it is. I’m sending good wishes your way and hoping things get better soon!

KiwiDerbyBride :  I’ve been in a similar situation. Mail box broken into and a very large cheque stolen… She forged her name on it and cashed it.

I eventually got my money back- but huge inconvenience with telling people “that wasn’t me!” over and over again… The lady who had sent the cheque pressed charges and is now going to trail.

I’m completely paranoid now. I know when the mail is delivered (with leeway of 30 mins)- so I drive over and grab it so it doesn’t sit very long.

Good thing at least your health insurance was on the ball!
