Step One: Put a pop-up blocker/ad-blocking software on your computer. Life is so much nicer.

Step Two: If you want a totally nerdy take on this, read The Paradox of Choice by Barry Schwartz (or Swartz, I can’t remember exactly). He examines how, in a world with so many choices, consumer satisfaction should theoretically be really high (because people can supposedly find literally whatever they want) but, in reality, limitless choice actually seems to lower consumer satisfaction because after they make a choice, people start to wonder, “Did I really choose the best option? Is there something better out there?” He doesn’t talk about weddings per se, but … dress regret, anyone? Tongue Out The author recommends adopting an attitude of looking for something that satisfies you, without trying to have it be the absolute best be-all-end-all perfect option. It doesn’t magically solve dress regret, but it helps to think about it in those terms. (Well, it helps me, at least. I am a total nerd, so that’s probably part of it.)
